As such we were thrilled to be one of just 29 participants accepted onto the first ever ground-breaking Ofqual Regulated Level 3 Certificate in Dog Breeding, Litter Socialisation and Welfare launched by IPET Network in January 2022.
The pandemic created a puppy boom which led to a huge demand which has never seen before on such a scale. Unfortunately this level of demand made the dog breeding industry appeal to many unscrupulous breeders which inevitably created welfare concerns of dogs and puppies due to poor standards and minimal knowledge. As a result The Ofqual Qualification was developed to set those ethical breeders apart who wanted to demonstrate they were dedicated to a financial and time commitment in order to gain this valuable Recognised Qualification
During National Dog Breeder Convention week held in November 2021 Professionals including Vets, Licensing Authorities, Charitable Organisations, Genetisists, Orthopaedics Specialists, Canine Nutritionists, Opthamologists, Canine Fertility Specialists and Behaviourists were the first to champion this revolutionary and fundamental change in Dog Breeding by offering Breeders the chance to become Qualified in their field of expertise.
We are therefore over the moon and very proud to announce that Nook on Lyne Labradors have successfully completed the stringent course curriculum required by Ofqual and we are now officially 1 of just 10 Qualified Dog Breeders in the whole of the UK.
